Kartioso terms of use

These terms are between you and Kartioso LLC (“Kartioso,” “we,” “us”). They cover your use of kartioso.com and of the Kartioso apps, including Kipe, Kist and Kided (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

Each app may also have its own terms or end user license agreement. If those terms conflict with these, the app’s terms apply to that app. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

The Services

Kartioso makes apps for personal use on web, phone and tablet. Some apps are still in development and may change, be paused, or not be released. We may add, change or remove features at any time. We will try to tell you about significant changes, but we don’t promise that any feature will stay available.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you create an account in an app, you agree to give accurate information, keep your sign-in details private, and be responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at support@kartioso.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, notes, lists, and other content you add to the apps (“your content”). You give us only the permission we need to store, display and back up your content so the Services work for you. We don’t use your content to train public models or to advertise to you.

You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it. Recipes and other material you didn’t create may be subject to someone else’s rights. Please respect them.

Acceptable use

When you use the Services, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe other people’s rights;
• try to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems;
• copy, reverse engineer, or interfere with how the apps work, except where the law allows;
• use the Services to send spam, malware, or harmful content;
• resell or rent the Services without our permission.

We may suspend or end access if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms.

Our intellectual property

The apps, the Kartioso and Kipe, Kist and Kided names and logos, the website, and everything we create for the Services belong to Kartioso LLC or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps on devices you own or control, under these terms. You may not use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

App stores

If you download an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for the apps or for providing support for them. If an app is covered by Apple’s standard end user license agreement, that agreement applies to the app in addition to these terms.

Payments

If we offer paid features or subscriptions, the price and billing terms will be shown before you buy. Purchases through an app store are handled by that store under its own terms and refund policy.

Third-party services

The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites and services. We don’t control them, and their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t make any promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we don’t guarantee that data will never be lost. Please keep your own copies of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Kartioso LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and reimburse Kartioso LLC for claims arising from your content or from your breach of these terms.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the Services at any time, and you can delete your account by following the steps in the app. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using the Services after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
